Tsunami    From the three candidates, Tsunami was chosen to be the 208th queen of Juraihelm. She's a peaceful, good-natured - although somewhat airheaded and naive - girl who loves flowers. She can usually be found watering plants, watching Sasami/Sammy's exploits on Earth, and/or drinking tea. When asked what she would do if she were to become queen, Tsunami said she would plant flowers throughout the kingdom. |
Ramia     The second candidate to be queen, Ramia did not take losing to Tsunami very well. When asked what she would do if she became queen, Ramia said that to combat Juraihelm's shrinking population, families with more than two children should get subsidies, while divorced couples would be punished by law. She also said that for people to pledge allegiance to the Imperial Rule, more weapons, more public order, and a complaints box were needed. |
Romio    The third candidate for the position of queen, Romio doesn't show up again until the final quarter of the series. Unlike the other two candidates, she is human. Despite this, she is still determined to destroy the Earth, in order to stop it from infecting Juraihelm with its evil. Long ago she was a magical girl, but was unable to stop the conflict on Earth. When asked what she would do if she became queen, Romio said she would continue the work of the former queen. |

Mihoshi     Mihoshi is Sasami's teacher, and it's not hard to figure out that she's not the brightest crayon in the box. She's Kiyone's senior by one year, a fact which, among other things about Mihoshi, annoys Kiyone to no end. She doesn't like conflict, but otherwise doesn't seem fazed by much (except maybe talking animals...). |
Washu     The singing, dancing, songwriting inventor, Washu Fitzgerald Kobayashi is the super genious of all mankind, something she has no problem reminding people of. She comes to Japan from America and becomes the science teacher at Umi no Hoshi Elementary School in order to research Pretty Sammy's magic, much to Sasami's chagrin. Currently 12 years old, Washu graduated from M.I.T. when she was 10, and is rarely seen without her laptop computer. |
Kiyone     Kiyone teaches 4-2, a class that is much more disciplined and orderly than Mihoshi's class of 4-3. The two women have had a bad relationship since junior high, and the fact that Kiyone was unemployed for a year while Mihoshi wasn't, not to mention Mihoshi's extremely laid-back teaching style, don't seem to help matters much. Kiyone doesn't handle strange occurances (such as the appearance of magical girls and love-love monsters) very well, and usually faints and/or turns to stone when something bizarre occurs. |
Hiroto Maiima     Hiroto is an athletic, soccer-loving classmate of Sasami's. He is one of the first people to see Pretty Sammy, and witnesses her first battle. He has a crush on Misao. |
Kenji Oyamada     Kenji is Hiroto's best friend, and is the other witness of Pretty Sammy's first battle. Kenji also has a knack for missing the obvious and saying stupid (but funny) things, and is rarely seen without his camera. |
Konoha Haida     The green-haired Konoha takes pleasure in making life difficult for Sasami and Misao at almost every opportunity. She's madly in love with Hiroto (who is less than interested), and is jealous of the feelings he has for Misao. Konoha did a brief stint as 'Magical Girl Funky Connie', which only lasted for one episode. |
Eimi Date     The class leader, Eimi is as by-the-book as they come, constantly chastising her classmates for breaking the school rules. She think's she's a wonderful singer, but no one else agrees. She was turned into the evil magical girl 'Love me Eimi' by Romio. |
Principal Miura     The principal at Umi no Hoshi Elementary School, Principal Miura seems to alternate between borderline senility and crafty savvyness. |
Ryo-Ohki     Ryo-Ohki comes to Earth to serve as a guide for Sasami in her new role as Magical Girl Pretty Sammy. On Earth he takes the form of a cat (or at least that's what Tsunami tells him he is), although Sasami thinks he's a rabbit when she first meets him. On Juraihelm, his true form is that of a boy of approximately Sasami's age. |
Rumiya     Ramia's younger brother, Rumiya, is a boy of Misao and Sasami's age. Whenever he goes to earth, he takes the form of a bird. He's in charge of hypnotizing Misao to turn her into Pixy Misa, as per his sister's plan of the week. He doesn't mind this initially, but becomes increasingly reluctent to do it as the show progresses, due to the crush he's developed on Misao. Rumiya is also the unfortunate recipient of the majority of his hot-tempered sister's outbursts, and bears the brunt of the blame whenever one of her plans fails. |
Hikari     A one-episode transfer student to Sasami's school, Hikari Asahina takes an immediate interest in Sasami and especially in Ryo-Ohki. She's actually Ryo-Ohki's childhood friend from Juraihelm and has been hypnotized by Rumiya to believe that Sasami is abusing her precious friend. Hikari comes to Earth to rescue Ryo-Ohki and bring him home to Juraihelm. She has the ability to absorb magic power and can send the absorbed power back against whoever is attacking her. |
Oryo     Overly-Splended Oryo is the magic secret guard from Juraihelm whose job is to protect the queen of Juraihelm. She shows up at approximately the same time as Romio, and initially appears on Earth as Cool Red of the Blue Sky Rangers. |
